Feasibility of laparoscopic microwave ablation of caudate tumors: a case series

چکیده
Abstract Microwave ablation of liver tumors allows preservation parenchyma with good oncologic outcomes. However, in the caudate lobe is particularly challenging. Adjacent critical anatomy, biliary hilum, has led to location being considered a relative contraindication ablation. To date, no series have described laparoscopic microwave liver. We describe our early experience tumors. In this retrospective review prospectively maintained single-institution database, six patients primary or secondary underwent complications. At median follow-up 10.5 months, five out are free recurrence. Laparoscopic feasible. Long-term needed determine if local recurrence risk higher than other anatomical segments.
